After the Screening by the nurse, members move to the Dietician for the Vitality Nutrition assessment. The dietician will ask a series of questions relating to their health profile such as medical history, medicine, lifestyle factors, dietary patterns and specific foods and nutrient intake.
This is only a food intake assessment and does NOT include a tailored eating plan. Clients who want to obtain a tailored meal plan can make an appointment with the dietician on a separate occasion. This consultation can be claimed back from your medical savings account.
A report with advice and recommendations will be e-mailed to you from Discovery.
All adults can earn up to 5 000 Vitality points for having the VNA assessment. Bonus points of 2 500 is achievable if your BMI are within the recommended range.
Vitality points are allocated within two to four weeks and can be followed up with Discovery Vitality at 0860 99 88 77.
Payment for the Vitality Nutrition Assessment
The Vitality Nutrition Assessment costs R310. The cost is payable on the day of the assessment and
can be claimed back from your Medical Savings Account (if you have funds available). This is payable via EFT before the assessment day to secure your booking.
